Soaking up the sunset in Marysville, Washington.
FAQ
What if I don’t want leashes or harnesses in the photographs?
With the magic of photoshop today, leashes can be removed. Harnesses however, can pose a problem. Photoshop isn’t perfect. If you don’t want harnesses in the photographs, I suggest bringing a regular collar and leash along for the session. At this time, I only edit leashes out.
What if My dog won’t sit still?
I deal with wiggly dogs a lot. If your dog is very energetic, I advise you to exercise them first if possible. If they are food motivated, bring treats along. Part of my job is to make sure I get the shots, and I will. Your happiness is my biggest priority!
Can family members be in the photographs too?
Yes, people often want to be in the pictures with their pet, so I can make that happen!
Should my dog be groomed before the photoshoot?
I leave this up to you, it certainly isn’t a requirement. Keep in mind however, that certain breeds will look much better in photographs if they do get groomed beforehand. For example, it can be almost impossible to photograph the eyes of shaggy or curly haired breeds like Labradoodles and Sheepdogs, if their fur is unkempt.
What if it’s raining?
We can reschedule if it’s raining. I totally understand you want your pet looking dry and happy!
where do the photo sessions take place?
Photographing your pets at your home can be great if that’s what you’d like to do. Make sure you have an area outside that is suitable and not cluttered. We can discuss this beforehand. If you’d like a different location, I am always scouting out great locations in Snohomish County and surrounding areas. This is something we can also discuss when we set up the session appointment.
Do you do colored powder sessions?
No, at this time I do not do colored powder sessions with real powder. I am still researching the safety of these powders and do not want to risk the health of your pet for a cool looking shot. I can, however, create a powder look in photoshop that is safe.
What areas do you service?
Mainly Snohomish, Skagit, King, and Island Counties. We will do areas outside of this range, but depending on the photo package you’re interested in, we may charge an additional travel fee.
Do I Have to Pay a Retainer Fee?
At this time, I do require a deposit of $50 to reserve a spot on my calendar. Due to past last-minute cancellations, I’ve had to start doing this. Although this deposit is nonrefundable, I will offer to reschedule due to rain or snow. The deposit is later credited to your gallery and used as your print credit where you can buy fun stuff like wall art.
